Quick Crescent Pies

Sometimes, you just want something sweet, quick, and easy. These grab-n-go pies are perfect for summer picnics, an after-school snack, or a simple dessert. Do you have 15-20 minutes? Then you can have your pie and eat it too!

Ingredients

1 package pop-n-bake crescent dinner rolls
2 nectarines (or 2 peaches, or 3 apricots, or pluots, or really any stone fruit you'd like)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 375˚F, or the temperature indicated on the dinner roll can.

If you have parchment paper, go ahead and line a baking sheet with it - it'll save you on the clean up.

Take the fruit you've chosen, wash and dice it, discarding the pit. Grab a small bowl and mix together the fruit, sugar and vanilla.

Unroll the crescent rolls, place a dollop of fruit in the center and fold them, pinching the dough to make sure they are closed along all the seams.

Bake 10-12 minutes, or as directed on the dinner rolls.

Enjoy warm! (But take care with that first bite - the fruit will be pretty hot right out of the oven)

Alternative ways to enjoy:

Try adding in a bit of cinnamon, ground clove, nutmeg, or other spice to the fruit mix before baking to up the flavors!

Don't want 8 mini-pies? Bake 1/2 the rolls as you normally would to accompany your dinner and make the other 1/2 into pies - just use 1 piece of fruit instead of 2, and decrease the vanilla and sugar.
