Meet The Growers

 

George & Colleen Jackson

George and Colleen were married in November of 1959. He proposed while she was driving a tractor. A few years later, their son Mike was born, followed by another son, Brent, and a daughter, Susan. They have 12 grandchildren, 5 of which are married, bringing the grand total up to 17. They also have 11 great-grandchildren, with 1 more on the way. George specializes in growing Apple Pears, avocados, apples, plums, and pluots.

 

Mike & Lori Jackson

Mike and Lori were married in November of 1981. They met at Fresno Pacific University. They have 4 sons: Ryan, Matt, Greg, & Kyle - and 3 daughters-in-law: Amy, Tawny, and Audry. They currently have 8 grandchildren, with another due to arrive soon. Mike specialized in pluots, but also grows apples, apple pears, apriums, peacotums, plumcots, figs, persimmons, cherries, flat peaches and nectarines, peaches, plums, nectarines, kiwis, peacharines, and apricots.

 

Brent & Marlene Jackson

Jackson Brent and Marlene were married in March of 1984. Marlene grew up down the road from Brent and they began dating Marlene’s sophomore year of high school. They have 4 daughters: Janelle, Brittany, Heidi, and Kristina - and 2 sons-in-law: Brody and Cody. They have 3 grandchildren: Jace, Stetson, and Bailey. Brent grows peacotums, plumcots, peacharines, peaches, nectarines, plums, pluots, apriums, apricots, cherries, and Flying Saucers.

 

John & Susan Diepersloot

John and Susan were married in May of 1986. They met at one of John’s water polo games when he was playing for Fresno State. John graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Dairy Science in 1985. They have four children: Jillian, Jake, Zack, and Caleb. John grows apricots, apriums, peacotums, plumcots, pluots, plums, peaches, nectarines, and peacharines.

 

Ryan & Amy Jackson

Ryan and Amy were married in November of 2004. They met at Immanuel High School, where they both attended. Ryan graduated from Fresno State with a degree in Agricultural Business with a minor in Marketing in 2005. They have a son, Carter, and a daughter, Brylie. Ryan grows an assortment of apriums, plumcots, peaches, nectarines, peacharines, flat peaches and nectarines, pluots, peacotums, plums, and apricots, though he specializes in growing figs, cherums, and kiwi.

 

 

Matt &Tawny Jackson

Matt and Tawny were married in October of 2003. They met at Immanuel Junior High and dated through high school. They now have a daughter Madison, and three sons, Owen, Amos, and Wyatt. They are expecting their fifth child, due in January. Matt grows apricots, apriums, plumcots, peacharines, peaches, nectarines, pluots, and flat peaches and nectarines.

 

 

Greg & Audry Jackson

Greg and Audry were married in October of 2007. They met at Immanuel High School, where Greg played tennis and Audry played volleyball. Greg went on to play tennis for Fresno Pacific and Fresno State. They have a daughter, Ainsley, and a son, Gunner. Greg grows pluots, plums, peaches, and nectarines.

 

Brody & Janelle Wilgenburg

Brody and Janelle were married in May of 2007. Janelle worked on the farm for her dad and as a receptionist for Kingsburg Orchards. She graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a degree in Business. Brody graduated from Cal Poly San Luis with a degree in Engineering. They have a son, Jace, and a daughter, Bailey. Brody grows peacotums, plumcots, peacharines, peaches, nectarines, plums, pluots, apricots, apriums, cherries, and flat peaches and nectarines.

 

Cody & Brittany Lehman

Cody and Brittany were married in September of 2006. Brittany drove tractor for her dad and worked as a receptionist for Kingsburg Orchards. Cody graduated from Cal State Northridge with a degree in Business management in 2005. He grew up in the greater Los Angeles area and moved to Kingsburg after his marriage. They have a son, Stetson, born in 2010. Cody now grows pluots, as well as peaches, plums, nectarines, apricots, apriums, and peacharines.

 

Jake Diepersloot

Jake graduated from Immanuel High School in 2007 and is currently pursuing a degree in Agricultural Business at Cal Poly SLO. He also grows 20 acres of white nectarines in Kingsburg, and is looking forward to finishing school, getting married, and farming full-time.
